The fundraising ralliers will be spending the night in the New Forest before heading off bright and early on Sunday morning. As part of the ZingBikes’ UK Charity Challenge, the riders will be stopping in at the Amberwood Inn, Walkford from 8pm on Saturday evening giving you the opportunity to meet the ralliers and the ZingBikes team. If you would like to join us for fish and chips, a good look around the range of motorcycles, including ZingBikes’ own models, and find out more about the cause of the UK Charity Challenge, please contact ZingBikes before 7th September 2009. ZingBikes will also be looking to sign up new dealers in the area, so if you are interested please come along.
In line with the main purpose of the UK Charity Challenge, ZingBikes would like attendees to raise money for road safety charities in addition to paying a small registration fee of £99, which includes all accommodation and food on the entertainment evenings. All sponsorship raised will be donated to various associations nationwide, although primarily Cambridgeshire charity, Magpas, the emergency medical charity that is dedicated to saving lives at the scene of road traffic accidents throughout the region. Lifan are the main sponsors of the UK Charity Challenge and strongly encourage ZingBikes’ road safety ethos.
The eight day/ seven night ride starts by heading to Bournemouth passing Stonehenge and then onto Dartmoor and Minehead. Then riding north, skimming the Welsh border at Coleford, the rally continues through the Lake District. The route will go on to cover southern Scotland, including Loch Lomond, before heading back south via York, the Yorkshire Moors and the Eastern counties before finishing on Saturday 17th October at Zing HQ in Cambridgeshire.
ZingBikes are looking for keen motorcyclists, of any level, to join them in experiencing the most incredible coastlines, mountain ranges and national treasures our home nation has to offer. Whether coming along for the whole journey or just part of it, you can sample some of the best British food and real ales at the specially selected inns and pubs, while you relax at the end of each day. Are you are up for the challenge?
